
Imperial College as it is today has evolved and changed over the years since its inception.
In 1907 Imperial was created as one entity, bringing together the Royal School of Mines and the Royal College of Science.

Important Reminder: Athens access ends July 31st July 23, 2009
On 31st July Imperial will no longer use Athens to access resources off-site in favour of Federated access/Institutional login. Your login will remain your college username and password.

A reminder to RefWorks users- the way you will access RefWorks will change on 31st July 2009.
You will need to move references from the old system (Athens) to the new system (Shibboleth/UK Federated Access) to maintain access to your Refworks database. Full instructions on how to do this can be found here

Ecsite Science Communication Survey Report July 10, 2009
Ecsite is the European network for science centres and museums, linking science communication professionals in more than 400 institutions in 50 countries. This member’s survey gives an interesting overview of the structure and activities of these institutions and looks at their involvement with Science Communication.
Included in the survey are questions on the organisation of Science Communication events specifically.
