The NDLTD offers theses and dissertations electronically in full-text and abstract form, dating back to 1900. The collection is mainly U.S. focussed, though there is some representation from the U.K.
The Electronic Theses Online System (EtHOS) is an equivalent U.K. initiative, set to launch with the 2008 academic year.

Europa Film Treasures July 22, 2008
‘Europa Film Treasures’ is an online archive of classic ‘vintage’ films from across Europe.
The 50 digitised films can be viewed online and they date from 1895 to the 1970s. Film institutes across Europe have provided material. The website is being expanded, with teaching aids scheduled to be developed in the near future.

Redecoration of Level 2 at Central Library July 14, 2008
The Library is pleased to announce the immediate redecoration of level 2 in the Central Library. Work includes both the repainting of all walls and complete recarpeting.
Work begins on Monday 14 July. It is anticipated that the refit will take 3 to 4 weeks. While this redecoration project takes place, level 2 will be closed to all library users. A regular fetching service from the collection on level 2 will be in operation and access to all other floors will continue as normal.

Wiley-Blackwell Journals Merge July 1, 2008
All journal titles previously provided by Blackwell have been moved to Wiley to create the new Wiley-Blackwell journals collection.
