Spiral Digital Repository March 19, 2008
Spiral, Imperial’s new Digital Repository, was officially launched in early March.
Spiral is designed to provide a central point for collecting published research output across the College. Its main purpose is to increase visibility and access to Imperial College London research.
The interface to Spiral is fully integrated with the Staff Publications (Symplectic Publications) system. To upload your papers, log in to the Publications system and click the blue button adjacent to the relevant publication details.
Before uploading your papers, please make sure that you have checked the publisher’s copyright policy or the copyright transfer agreement.

New and Interesting Material March 7, 2008
We are continuously adding new stock to our library collections, and this blog will now bring you a selection of this new material each month.
We have two lists. Firstly, covering cultural material in the Haldane Collection – DVDs, CDs and new books.
The second list is a selection of material of specific interest for the various courses in the Humanities Department.
We hope you enjoy this snaphot of our new stock.
Interesting Publications March 6, 2008
A new journal has been added to the Humanitites Blog e-journals page for Translation. This is a new and freely available peer-reviewed journal named Language Documentation & Conservation .
The journal focuses on the preservation and documentation of the languages of the world, of which only around 10% are estimated to be well documented.
Working Papers in Linguistics is an occasional publication of the Dept. of Linguistics of Ohio State University. Students and academics of the university are main contributors.
The publications date back to 1967 and cover a wide range of language topics.
